Everybody needs financial help, so TNL Asset Management LLC has no minimum fee or minimum net worth requirements.

It is important to note that we are a fee-only advisor. This means no unnecessary insurance contracts, no 12b-1 front-loaded mutual funds, and no parent company recommended “hot stocks” that could win us a trip to Hawaii. At TNL Asset Management LLC we provide sound financial advice that’s specifically geared toward each client’s needs—period.

We offer several fee arrangements:

FINANCIAL CHECKUP: We will analyze your entire financial picture taking into account retirement planning, budgeting, education planning, asset allocation, insurance needs, and any other major financial impacts such as inheritance or home purchase. No assets are turned over to TNL Asset Management LLC under this fee arrangement. Our fee is based on the client’s net worth. Since more wealth usually requires more planning, our fee increases with the net worth.

Clients will receive an executive summary outlining recommendations including, but not limited to, portfolio allocation, security selection, savings and investment goals, and projected cash flow. An annual follow-up is recommended and available for half the cost of the accompanying chart since we’re already familiar with your situation. The follow-up concentrates mostly on asset allocation, changes in economic status (i.e., income), and investment projections (i.e., interest rates, expected rate of return).

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT: Under this arrangement, fees will be charged monthly based on the type of investment asset, the dollars of each type of asset, and total assets under management. The financial checkup is included.

Compared to the approximate 1.5% average expense ratio of actively managed mutual funds, we feel we offer a relative bargain. Ask yourself these questions:

  • When was the last time your mutual fund manager considered your individual tax situation when buying or selling a security?
  • Is the mutual fund tailored toward achieving your specific goals?
  • Do you know how much you’re paying your mutual fund manager?
  • Do you even know who your mutual fund manager is?

We’ve broken our portfolio management fees into three categories because each group requires differing levels of initial and on-going attention. We’ve designed our fees to match our level of service not just your net worth.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:
Tell us your needs and we’ll name a price. We can quote an hourly rate or a fixed fee. We have experience with complex and simple trusts, estate planning, partnership holdings, real estate investments, and many other unique financial assets. Projects that commonly fall into this category are:
• Review and reallocate asset allocation in 401(k), 403(b), 529, and other retirement and education plans.
• Advise on mortgage refinancing.
• Establish achievable savings goals for retirement and education planning.
• Complete federal and state tax forms.
